Teza tea plantation is located in Bukeye commune in Muramvya province at 65 km from Bujumbura. It is the first agricultural society in Burundi which was created by post-independence authorities in 1963. The plantations are located at 2,100 m above sea level on the Congo-Nile ridge. The farm occupies an area of 600ha. The company also has 500 ha of afforestation to heat the boilers.
