The Bujumbura Water Club is a recreational place built on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. It was created during the Belgian colonial era. The place offers facilities and equipment for water sport such as kayaking, water surfing and gliding. It includes spaces for the sale of art objects and a bar-restaurant. The club offers an excellent observatory and photography point for hippos from Tanganyika. At the club there is a marina with 5 boats for leisure and water sport.
