Tour Description

This tour is for 2 days and 1 night. It starts in Bujumbura and heads to the North of the country. On the road the guest will love to see beautiful landscapes of hills with Eucalyptus trees or small farms belonging to the peasantry. The attractions on this tour include the Kibira National Park which covers four provinces, the Bukeye old catholic church building, the Teza Tea plantations, the Banga traditional heritage, the Royal Tombs site, the Rwegura Tea Complex and the power dam catchment with an artificial lake. The visitor will also enjoy viewing how bricks and tiles are produced in a traditional fashion. Along the road there is a lot of artworks made by the local population as a display of their know-how.

DAY1: Bujumbura- Teza Tea Plantations-Royal Tombs – Kayanza

DAY2: Kayanza-Rwegura Tea Complex – Kibira National Park – Rwegura Power Dam – Return to Bujumbura
